LA Travel Guide – Most instagrammable places in Los Angeles

LA Travel Guide – Most instagrammable places in Los Angeles

 Hey loves,

after a long time of editing, cutting and writing we now come to the last piece of my summer travels. LA.

I have been to LA 3 times already but I must say that this summer, the city just got me like never before. Which is not only because I love all the fancy restaurants and stunning places to go but also because I made some amazing friends over there.

I felt home – a kind of „heart-home“ if you know what I mean.

Of course, some of you (my dear friends 🙂 ) might know that I never really felt „home“ in Germany. For some reason there was always something inside me which never could identify myself with my birth country ( this is also the reason why I moved to Italy to study).

Some part of me always felt american haha – so that’s why I want to move and live in the States for some time, after my graduation (I know, still 4 years left but Florence isn’t that bad too 😉 ).

But enough about me, the actual purpose of this blogpost is that I would like to give you some tips about where to go and what to do during your stay in the City of Angels.

Here I link you my 2nd LA Blog if you haven’t seen it 🙂

Sooo let’s get started!!

WHERE TO STAY

  1. Hotel Bel Air, Bel Air

The Hotel Bel Air is my total favorite. We actually stayed there already 5 years ago, when we first travelled to LA. And guys I can tell you, you feel like you’re in heaven! I totally love the style of the interior and omg the food (especially the breakfast) blows you away. The Hotel is located in one of the best areas of Los Angeles and the neighborhood is incredible. Make sure to make a little morning walk up to the top of the hill and enjoy the beautiful view! Ahh such a peaceful place…

2. The Beverly Hills Hotel, Beverly Hills

We didn’t stay at the Beverly Hills over night but we went there for brunch and I must say it was sooo delicious and there are plam leaves all around. You feel like you are in some sort of Disney movie haha

3. Waldorf Astoria, Beverly Hills

The Waldorf just opened its doors this year – so it is brand new. I really loved the interior and style of the hotel. Don’t forget to check out their beautiful rooftop! They serve the best drinks and salads 🙂

WHERE TO EAT

  1. Catch LA

The Catch is probably my favorite place in LA. Not only because of the incredible location but also of the delicious food they serve. Tip: You should make a reservation far in advance to make sure to get table. And if you are lucky you will see Justin Bieber sitting next to your table 😉

  1. The butchers Daughter

Omg this cute restaurant is perfect for lunch! Located directly on the Abbot Kinney Blvd you can take a little break from shopping and stop by. They serve healthy food such as avocado toasts, salads and the best smoothies!

  1. Carrera Cafe

I think my picture of the coffee I ordered there already explains why you should’t miss to go there! Probably one of the most instagrammable places in LA 😀

  1. The IVY

IVY is a little restaurant located at Santa Monica Beach (I think there is also another one in Beverly Hills). The flowers on the table are just beautiful – the restaurant too of course. No reason why Justin Bieber and Chiara Ferragni keep popping up. Make sure to order some Pizza!!

  1. Gracias Madre
  1. Zinque
  1. MILK
  1. Little Damage Ice Cream

Ever tried black Ice Cream?

  1. Juice Crafters
  1. Alfreds Tea Room

Ahhhh I could’t get enough of Alfreds delicious drinks!! My favorite is the pink drink which is some kind of a strawberry mild I guess 😛 I even bought a little cup from Alfreds just because they are pink and cute – you know haha

  1. Urth Cafe
  1. Amaze Bowls

Unfortunately I missed the chance going to Amaze Bowls but apparently they serve Acai Bowls in coconuts!!

  1. Sprinkles Beverly Hills

Yess I am addicted to cupcakes and ice cream. Who else? This is the perfect place to get some velvet cake flavored ice cream with a lot of sprinkles on top.

Ah and of course very instworthy as well!

  1. Caked LA
  1. Acai Nation
  1. In-n-out

In-n-out is a must when you spend your vacation in LA 😉 Burger paradise!!

  1. LEMONADE

I love their flavored lemonades!! Also, they serve really healthy food.

WHAT TO DO

  1. Go hiking to the Hollywood sign

Make sure to find out about the easiest route!! There are many ways to get up there but I think you don’t wanna get lost 😉

  1. Enjoy the most beautiful view above LA at Griffith Observatory

Griffith is totally worth a visit. You can park your car somewhere close and then walk up the last minutes. From here you will get a stunning view over Downtown LA and you can even see the Hollywood sign. Tip: Do not go on Sundays! There will be too much traffic and you will spend the whole time looking for a parking lot.

  1. Light up at LACMA

I actually didn’t went into the museum I only went to the white lights (to shoot some pictures). Dear, it was 10pm and there were soo many photographers and instagramers 😀 So it is really tricky to get a perfect shot there without people in the background (photoshop helps 😉 ). But anyway it was worth going there!

  1. Catch the citylights at OUE Skyspace LA (Skyslide)

Unfortunately I couldn’t go to the Skyspace because we had a little car problem and it was our last night. The Skyspace looks incredible – I would recommend to go during nighttime because then you can see the whole city sparkling. Don’t forget to go on the slide!! Ah I’m definitely going next time!!

  1. Enjoy the sunset at Santa Monica Beach and Santa Monica Pier

  1. Rent a bike or skateboard at Venice Beach

  1. Get captured by the lights on the Walk of Fame at nighttime

  1. „Wallhunting“ on Melrose Avenue

All along Melorse Ave you will find a lot of painted walls and graffiti! If you are a creative soul this is probably your place to be 🙂

SHOPPINHG

  1. Melrose Avenue

Melrose Ave is one of my favorite areas to go shopping in LA. There are so many cool and unique shops!! And what is even better the shops are mostly affordable.

  1. Abbot Kinney Blvd

Along Abbot Kinney you can also find cute little shops. All american style 🙂

  1. 3rd Street Promenade

Here you can find any shop. From Victoria’s secret to Apple…

  1. Rodeo Drive

Rodeo Drive is the most glamorous and expensive place to go shopping. Diamonds and sparkle from Chanel to Saint Laurent. Anyway even if I can’t afford it I loved the inspiration there 🙂

  1. Hollywood Blvd

On the Walk of Fame you can mostly find the main shopping chains such as H&M or Forever21 and a lot of souvenir shops.
